Rural Director: Karen Morton, RN
 
Karen Morton, RN has 34 years of nursing experience (24 as an RN) and currently serves as the rural director for the AaNA Board of Directors. Karen is a resident of Soldotna, Alaska and works at Heritage Place, a skilled nursing facility. Karen's previous nursing experience includes serving as a director of nursing and as a quality assurance and performance improvement nurse. Karen enjoys advocating for nurses and collaborating to promote the deliverance of quality care while maintaining the nurse as a whole person in the community as well as in the workplace.
