2013 Vaccinate Alaska Coalition Excellence in Immunization Awards

Attached is the nomination form for the 2013 Vaccinate Alaska Coalition Excellence in Immunization Awards.


This is an opportunity to acknowledge outstanding dedication and inspiring commitment to improving immunization status in our state.  

DEADLINE for receipt of nominations is Friday August 30 at 5:00 pm.

Nominations may be submitted by e-mail (preferred method) to immune@alaska.gov  or by fax to 907-561-0847, attention VAC Awards Committee.

Presentation of the 2013 Award(s) will occur during the 2013 Alaska State Immunization Conference on Wednesday Oct 9th 2013 at the Downtown Marriott Hotel.

AaNA Nurses celebrate 4th of July in their communities

The Alaska Nurses Association is proudly hosting a meet and greet with Alaska Senator Mark Begich at the AaNA office on Wednesday, July 3 at 5 p.m. Join us as we speak with Senator Begich about the issues that are important to you and all Alaska nurses. Alaska Nurses Foundation Seeks Proposals for 2013 Grants

AaNF's General Fund is sustained by tax-deductible donations from nurses, businesses and other individuals, as well as bequeaths, and grant resources. AaNF seeks grant proposals yearly to issue awards, of up to $500, from the General Fund for clinical projects, continuing education, publications and research, which promotes the profession of nursing in Alaska or the health of Alaskans.

AaNF also has a Public Health Nursing Fund, which awards grants to Public Health Nurses for research, continuing education, publications and community based projects. The award can be made to an individual or a group, and can be up to $5,000.
