Dementia and Delirium: Differentiating the Issues & Managing the Behaviors
Presented by Nan Magrath, PGC-NP, ANP, CNS-BC, PMHNP-BC

As our population ages, dementia and delirium are on the increase. These two interrelated but different diagnoses pose special concerns for patient management of symptoms, and safety for patients, families, and staff. This presentation will address the differences between delirium and dementia - in presentation, diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes - plus ways to stay physically safe when caring for these patients.
