Join us January 15 for a Tuesday Talks Double-Header!
Double the presentations, double the contact hours!

NEW SPEAKER ALERT!

Due to unforeseen circumstances (family emergency), Rosa Niemi's presentation "What it Means & Takes to Become a High-Reliability Organization" has been cancelled. We hope to reschedule for a later date and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

Fortunately, we have an alternative speaker! Dr. Angelia Trujillo will be repeating her popular presentation "HPV - An Update for Nurses." Please note that if you have attended Dr. Trujillo's HPV presentation in the past, we will be unable to award you contact hours for the same presentation, though we would love to have you attend!

Tuesday Talks
January 15, 2019
6:00-8:45pm
AaNA Office: 3701 E. Tudor Rd., Suite 208

Presentation #1: Trauma-Informed Primary Care
Tracey Wiese, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC
6:00-7:15pm | 1.25 contact hours

We will discuss the long-term neurologic and physical sequela that result from chronic, toxic stress in childhood. We will discuss important strategies for assessment, treatment planning and intervention that support clients with these types of histories, ultimately improving primary care outcomes, reduction in health care costs and better utilization of the health care system.

NEW SPEAKER ALERT!
Presentation #2: Understanding HPV
Angelia Trujillo, DNP, MSN, WHNP-BC
7:30-8:45pm | 1.25 contact hours

The purpose of this educational activity is to increase nursing understanding of a common sexually transmitted infection: human papilloma virus, also known as genital warts. Increased understanding and awareness can promote positive nurse-patient communications about this common sexually transmitted infection, its effects on individuals, as well as care and prevention.

Tuesday Talks is a FREE event open to ALL nurses

RSVP to emlynne@aknurse.org to save your seat!

Join us for a LIVE WEBINAR option for nurses who live outside of Anchorage!

Good news! There's now an online attendance option for nurses outside the Anchorage bowl who want to attend Tuesday Talks! Webinar attendees will have access to the presentations via the Zoom platform. You can access Zoom from your PC, Mac, Linux, iOS or Android device.

We will be monitoring attendance to ensure your participation throughout the presentations. At the completion of our webinar, our virtual attendees will complete a post-test and an evaluation, which will be sent to you electronically. Post-tests and evaluations must be completed within 24 hours and your certificate will be emailed to you within a few days. Please note that any post-tests or evaluations received after the deadline will not be accepted for credit and contact hours will not be awarded.
