  • Able to motivate and engage members to deepen their involvement and to collaborate with others of diverse backgrounds, opinions, and needs.
  • Solution-oriented and creative. You’re motivated to seek continual improvement, solve problems, and come up with great ideas. A willingness to learn and work in a team environment with a spirit of enthusiasm!
  • You have an associate’s degree or above from an accredited college and/or relevant professional experience.
  • You’re proficient with the 2016 Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with Google applications (Gmail, Google Drive, etc.) and database applications including MS Access is preferred. Experience with graphic design tools is a plus.
  • Bonus points for previous event planning experience.

What you’ll do:

  • Handle office tasks such as answering phone calls, reordering supplies, setting up for meetings, organizing, and greeting visitors.
  • Maintain membership mailing and email lists.
  • Plan and coordinate special events, including conferences, social events, meetings, and charitable activities.
  • Facilitate member involvement in activities and events, and perform outreach to new members.
  • Manage travel arrangements, such as booking flights and hotel reservations.
  • Assist with developing communications, such as written articles, reports, and email campaigns.
  • Assist with website updates and maintaining our social media accounts.
  • Design graphics for flyers, social media posts, and other documents.
  • Serve as a liaison to the continuing education committee, assisting with educational event planning and marketing.
  • Provide assistance and support to committees, boards, and leaders as requested.

Why you should apply:

  • Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule (with occasional flexibility to work outside regular office hours)
  • We offer competitive compensation ($20-$22/hour starting; DOE) and benefits – excellent insurance (dental and vision included), retirement, paid holidays, and generous paid time off.
