Part to Full Time Nurse... versatile job

Great Land Infusion Pharmacy, a dynamic, team-oriented, employee and family-oriented pharmacy seeks a quality nurse who wants a versatile job in a stimulating work environment.

Our atmosphere is hard-working and congenial. We have autonomy and yet we all pull together. Our manager encourages professional development and clinical education and occasionally allows us opportunities to attend out of state conferences.

This particular job for a traveling (within Anchorage) home nurse provides considerable autonomy and the chance to interact with physicians, pharmacists and to coordinate with other nurses, while serving patients.

The home nurse goes to patient homes, administers IV and SQ medications, conducts assessments, coordinates new referrals/admissions, and performs patient/caregiver education concerning medications and the means by which medications are administered.

We seek a nurse familiar with the care and access of central lines including the ability to perform aseptic and sterile dressing changes. We are, however, willing to train, provided you have a valid Alaskan RN license or are in the process of obtaining this license.

The ideal candidate brings a high level of professionalism, along with stellar nursing and communication skills. We seek an individual capable of making good judgment calls, multi-tasking and problem-solving.

This can be a part-time job (Wed through Fri) or be expanded to a full time (Wed through Sun) position that will include rotating weekday and weekend on-call time.  In addition to salary, we offer a simple IRA, health insurance and paid vacation leave.

Please email doug@greatlandinfusionpharmacy.com or feel free to call Doug at 907-561-2421 (Great Land Infusion Pharmacy). You can also fax your CV to 907-868-5154 if you prefer. THANKS!
