Ketchikan General Hospital is looking for a dynamic Vice President of Patient Care Services. This highly visible position is part of the senior management team and will focus on working with the hospital's nursing team to optimize the performance of nursing professionals through superb clinical skills. This nurse leader will assure high quality, consistent care and service to patients, close collaboration with colleagues and will launch a continuous program of education, training and development for all members of the nursing staff. A minimum of five years experience in nursing and risk management in a similarly sized acute care hospital is required, ideally with some experience as the chief nursing executive. A Bachelors degree in nursing or related healthcare or business field is required and a Masters degree is preferred and must be a registered nurse, eligible for licensure in the State of Alaska .
