Name: _________________________________ AaNA Committees____ Legislative Committee: Actively involved in reviewing all legislative issues, which may relate to health and nursing. Reviews bills and testifies before senate and house committees on the AaNA position. Works closely with the AaNA Lobbyist. Usually meets monthly on the second Monday of the month. Current Chair is Pat Senner. ____ Continuing Education Committee: Members individually review applications for continuing education approval based on the established guidelines of the American Nurse s Credentialing Center and in coordination with the CE Director. Makes recommendations for improvements in the application process. The current CE Director is Norma Monsen. ____ Alaska Nurse Newsletter Editorial Board: Members work with the editor and recruit articles for the quarterly newsletter. The current editor is Lynn Hartz. ____ Conference Planning Team: Participates help plan the Alaska Statewide Nurses Conference. Roles include working with program planning, marketing, vendor and sponsor recruitment and onsite assistance. Taskforce E-mail Pools — New!!!Our members have the opportunities to participate in a number of taskforces on a variety of issues. Taskforces may be asked to draft a policy for consideration by the AaNA Board, write an article for the AaNA Newsletter, plan strategy or an activity, or create a resource for use by RNs or patients across the state.
